Light the W
Light the W is a flagship Homecoming event at Weber State University. In 2024, the event introduced a drone light show, generating heightened student interest and nearly doubling attendance from the previous year.
As the Marketing Coordinator on one of the student marketing teams, I helped lead efforts to promote the event to both the student body and local community. This included executing a targeted social media campaign, overseeing the design and production of promotional graphics (flyers, posters, digital assets), and supporting the broader campaign strategy.
Main highlights
Our efforts contributed to a turnout of over 600 attendees—nearly double the participation from the previous year and significantly increased engagement across student-focused platforms
A social media reel executed by our team that promoted the event reached 14.1K viewers, including over 6,000 non-followers, significantly expanding our audience beyond the existing 8K student followers.

Lead Weber
Weber is an annual conference designed for the student body at Weber State University.
Our two-person marketing team led efforts to increase attendance through a comprehensive promotional strategy that integrated targeted social media campaigns with traditional marketing channels. We spearheaded the redefinition of the conference logo and the unification of the brand identity, ensuring a consistent visual language across all marketing materials. This rebranding initiative enhanced event recognition and strengthened its professional image within the student community.

Holiday Strings & Voices
Christmas & Easter Concert Series
Holiday Strings & Voices is a music collective and performance project, composed of choir, string quartet, and classical guitar musicians—all alumni from the same university.
The initiative launched with two concert series: one for Christmas and one for Easter, each consisting of two performances.
As the Marketing Director, I independently managed all aspects of promotion for the project. This consisted of creating a full suite of bilingual (English & Spanish) graphic materials for both concert series, including flyers, posters, signage, concert programs, and digital displays. Despite working with no formal budget, I collaborated with community partners to successfully promote the events. I also developed and led a social media strategy across Facebook and Instagram to build visibility and increase both project and brand awareness within the local community.

Main highlights
Despite having less than one month to market two Christmas events, each concert welcomed approximately 120–150 attendees.
Notably, social media proved to be highly effective, with 30% of the audience reporting they learned about the event through Facebook or Instagram.

Campus Recreation Event Marketing Experience
During my time at Weber State University, I worked as a Marketing Manager for Campus Recreation, assisting closely the Marketing Coordinator to promote primarily fitness-oriented events and programs. I supported campaign planning by brainstorming and executing both online and in-person giveaways, coordinating in-person marketing through event tabling, and organizing targeted promotional activities tailored to specific events. This role allowed me to develop creative engagement strategies and contribute directly to increasing visibility and student participation in Campus Rec initiatives and beyond.

A few kind words from my former supervisor Leslie
"Wiktoria is graduating next month and we’re so sad to lose her BUT she has been super proactive in setting the team up for success after she leaves in April. She’s been filming extra content and taking extra pictures so we have stuff to use after she’s gone and she’s working on a guide for our new team member to make that transition smoother. Throughout her time at Campus Rec she’s implemented so many new ideas and improvements on our team, her legacy will be felt in Campus Rec long after she’s gone."
